We use the collar to keep our new (to us) dog from running away. He is very fast (Jack Russell Terrier) and sneaky (smart). He had a deeply ingrained habit of taking off when he came to us as a rescue dog who had been in 4 homes in 2 years. After being properly trained to the collar, he now comes when he is called very readily, even when he is on the scent of something or seriously distracted while hiking off-leash. The collar has gone into salt water repeatedly and continues to work like a charm. At some point, we anticipate his not needing it anymore and being able to stop using it at all - as it is we only ever need to use the tone button, not the correction one.

This was the best [$] I ever spent. I have a 3 year, 75 pound goldendoodle, who would dig every time we let her out in the yard. After 2 corrections with the collar, and about another week using the tone only, she now spends hours outdoors without digging up my yard. I planted a new veggie garden, and when she went over to it, I gave her just the tone correction, and she had not gone near it.

i take my beagles to the beach daily in maui. being beagles, they get sidetracked often with all the smells and people at the beach. i trained my 1st beagle with one collar. he does so well now, he doesn't need to wear the collar. we adopted another beagle 5 months ago, and trained him on a collar as well. now, he listens so well, he rarely wears it either. people stop me all the time and say they used to have beagles, and have never seen such well trained dogs. i've only had to shock the dogs 4-5 times in the year that i've owned these collars. so effective, and yet so humane. they only get a beep. Thank you so much for a great product as well as a great training guide on how to use the collars. i also have a few friends who have borrowed the collar to use on their dogs, with success.

This collar has been great for us. We have a 106# Black Lab, who is about 1 1/2 yrs old, and very active. We have two young children and we use it to keep the dog from jumping onto them and others. We also used it for assistance with training in the "basics". Also very helpful in trying to train your dog in going for walks with you. Battery lasts for 3-4 days before needing to be charged which is very nice. Also we rarely have to use the shock part of it, mostly only have to press the tone button and he immediately behaves. I do wish that it had a noise sensor, however to tell you when the battery gets low, as it is very difficult to always look under your dogs chin to check this before it is too late and you need it. Also I am trying to find where I can get an extra remote for it and so far have not been able to find one. Overall great product!
