I would recommend this collar to anyone. I have two German Shepards and my young 1 1/2 yr old tried to take off and refused to come in everytime I took him out, so had to put him on a leash so he wasn't able to have that freedom to run and play. This collar changed him from the first time I put it on him. I started it with his leash on and took him around all the boarders of the land. I would beep it first and then use the shock only on #5 (he thought it was a bee stinging him) and he backed right off. I only had to use the shock on him a few times and now he stops at the border and thinks about it for a second and then turns back. The only negative thing is you have to be ready to run if they do break the border as the range is not very far so you have to be pretty close to them for it to work. But thumbs up to this product, it has given my boy new found freedom to be a dog and get the much needed exercise he needs without the worry he will be hit by a car.

Helped my very large boxer puppy become a better listener. After using the collar, he has learned to listen and behave better. Just putting the collar on him now, makes him behave. He's still a big puppy at heart and he definitly thinks he's a human, but now it's more enjoyable for everyone to have him as part of the family.

Great to train for behavior, such as barking, playing too rough with other dogs and controlling their walk. The best thing is the warning sound before a shock comes. You do not really need to inflict pain because they stop when they hear the beep. (love that!) The battery will not last long, so buy extras to have on hand.[...]

You have to be careful because the shock collar for some reason will come off the dog easily. I have had to hunt for mine after my dog came in without it around her neck a couple of times.
