Long time dog owner who always built a wooden fence for pet containment. Recently moved to a HOA controlled neighborhood with to many rules. One rule was, only 4ft white vinyl fences allowed. With a rather large back yard the cost would have been more than $3000, so I went with the $300 electronic fence. Very easy to install, it took a full day but well worth it. I had to do a double loop to keep it just in the back yard which doubled the trenching. all went very easy and the dog quickly learned his boundaries and life has been great for the dog and family. Great product.

We have a hyper dog & it has really helped to calm him down. No more jumping on counters or people. Stays in yard and he knows his boundaries. just a few hours to install & it has made all the difference in our life.

The containment fence works well - I have it on the lowest stimulation setting and have no problems with my Lab getting out, providing I have the collar on tight enough.
The 'training' component is a useful addition, although I have not used it in ernest. The best thing about it was that we took the flags and collar on vacation and made a 'virtual fence' around the property. Our lab was already trained to the flags at home, so a short session on the lead and using the sound only stimulation as we reached the flags solved our vacation containment issues too! We do have a VERY trainable lab though - might not work for everyone.
It was good to chat through the options with the chap in customer service - he gave me great advice and did not push me to buy.
It would have been helpful if I had been told at ordering that I should arrange for the utilities companies to mark out where the electric and other service lines pass on our property. If I had known that was necessary in advance of receiving the product and reading the instructions, I could have arranged that while waiting for the product to be delivered and would have been able to set up the system on the day it arrived.

The set up and training were very easy, using th erecomended training method, my dogs had it down in just a couple of days - the remote and flags worked great as training aids - now we don't even have to turn it on most of the time!
