My only negative comment about this product is that it cannot be used for very small dogs. I have a Chihuahua-Rat Terrier cross in addition to my larger dogs, and cannot use the fence for her.

We have never had an electric fence before. It allows our dog a very large area to roam with out the cost of fencing our entire property. She loves the freedom.

It was very easy to set up. We used the staples and being able to see the wire helps our dog know where the boundry ends. I was able to set it up myself even though I am not a do-it-yourself type.

It was a lot harder to train our dog than I thought it would be. She did great on the leash, but had trouble remembering her boundry off the leash. Once she was trained it was really great. She knows her boundry and does not get close, but sits down a few feet from it. She got shocked a few times, but now our dog gets to roam around two acres instead of being couped up in a small yard.

My parents live next door. They were sceptical at first. Once they saw how it worked they were so impressed that they bought one for their dog.

This is all you will ever need to contain your dog of any size. I have a very active black lab.
After I installed the fence (mostly above ground) I never had a problem with him leaving the yard. I will definately buy another one for my other house. Great product, great price.
