I have an American bulldog, he is a very strong and large breed 10 months old and full of energy. Started using at age 6 months. My husband and I are older so the collar gives us full control indoors and out if necessary.. which is wonderful. Our dog learned very quickly with the fence and collar. Love the remote, just the tone gets his attention.We don't leave the dog out alone in the fence we just use it to contain while we are out working in the yard and it does the job. We use the collar more though... as we take him with us alot and may not need to be leashed, if he gets out of our sight we just beep the tone and he comes, plus if I can hear the tone I know he is not far. We love your product. Highly recommend

I installed this fence to contain a 4 year old yellow lab. I buried the portions of the wire in the yard and ran the cable in the woods bounding my property exposed. I used 2 spools of wire to bound .75 acre. The fence works great!! The dog has escaped twice early in trainig, but will not even come near the boundaries now. I have no worries about leaving her in the yard alone every day. I have not used the training remote, but purchased it in case barking became severe.

Although I have parented dogs for the past 25+ years, I parented them all from 6 to 8 weeks old, until their sad departure(death). My last one, PenneyToo, passed away Dec 2008 of a heart attack. I decided to go to a rescue shelter to adopt instead of a Samoyed Breeder to purchase. There I found a 2 1/2yr old "Akita", Kita Marie. Kita had been adopted and returned 3 times prior to me adopting her. Akita's are just the opposite of a Sammy. Kita Marie has the built in instint to attack and eat anything that moves. She will chase all cars, bike riders and kids. Small animals and birds are like prey to her, and at 80lbs, I hit the ground, usually face first when she decides to "get it" (whatever "it" may be). She can litterally drag me arround. I DECIDED TO GET THE SD-3000 more for the remote training collar then the fence. Its great that it comes with the fence for the price of this unit. I had to shock Kita 3 or 4 times on the 2nd setting of 4,(the highest) and after about 3 or 4 times of tone followed by a light shock, it only takes the tone to get her attention away from whatever. This is a very agressive dog and one excellent training aid. Kita acts like she knows whats next and I mean instantly does an about change of attitude, just by the tone (no shock at all). Currently the fence is installed and only been turned on 3 time for training. I found the dead zones were difficult to set up but once complete, works very well. But the remote training collar with this unit is all I really needed. I am totally amazed at the change in Kita Marie. Thanks Innotek from me and especially Kita, I am sure you will save me several thousands of dollars in medical bills, liabillity suits and lost dog fees, not to mention several bumps and bruses. Kita thanks you as now she has a permenant home because of you. I am extreamly impressed. It's too bad I can't rate this unit a 10.

Our dog had decided that no only should he chase cars going by, but he especially loved the UPS truck. He loved to chase the truck and destroy the packages that they left behind at the neighbor's houses. We needed a solution and fast!! This was it. We followed the installation instructions and everything works perfectly. The dog quickly learned his boundaries so that solved our immediate problems. WE haven't used the training part of the collar yet, but the containing part works wonderfully.
