We've used this system for 15 years, moved it to 4 houses, been through multilpe lighting strikes, and have had great service, and love the product. We bought one for our son as a gift, installed it is we have done 4 other times, and it stopped working after 10 minutes of setting the boundaries. After hours of trouble shooting we felt it was a bad battery in the collar. We brought the collar home, and it didn't work on our system.We put in a new battery, and the collar still didn't work. We hope to have the problem resolved soon.We understand mistakes happen, [...] we still love the product.

This is a great product for our dogs, a Bug (Pug/Boston Terrier) puppy and an adult Shih Tzu. After following the training schedule, the dogs recognized the fence after only 2 zaps each. We have the fence going all around our large property and I installed it in a full day. The only pain was spinning the wire to deactivate it where the dogs would walk.

This is a good fence, but did not have much luck with the "on top" wire. Had trouble with it breaking so buried the wire, which is not all that difficult. Is great that the box beeps so when we walk in the garage and there is a problem, we know it. No matter how precise we followed the directions, the 'stubborn' terrier just had to run through a time or two and end up shaking on the other side before he gave in ! Our big problem is that it has to cross right between the house and the backdoor. We don't want him in the front yard and it doesn't work going in through the basement. We talked via phone to two Radio Fence techs,and were given two different ways to handle it and neither worked.(garage is not attached) Would like to eliminate this problem because we have to carry the dog out and then put the collar on him. Going to be cold in the winter in the snow carrying him down those 6 steps !
