This product has saved me HOURS of time locating wire breaks. You just turn it on, walk the fence until the tone quits, find it again after the break and replace the wire. Couldn't be easier.

We only had a partial break, but didn't know it. We spent a lot of time with this detector with no luck since it was only partial. We eventually found the break on our own. Also, you have to be in a good area for reception. We had limited reception due to part of our fence being in the woods. We had to hold the detector inches from to ground to get a slight sound.
