The product is absolutley fabulous! We had our dog trained with in one week from the time we put there collars on. The only draw back to the product i the battery life at max 3 months.
but would recommend this product to anyone.

We already had two bases stations and one collar for our momma dog Bailey. So, when she had nine puppies, we just had to keep one! :) We recently ordered this extra collar for her pup Fenway and couldn't be happier! We didn't start using until 6 months old. The only con we could find with the collar is that eventually the clip does wear out. However, my handy hubby remounted the prong device onto an old leather belt! Still works great! We were nervous about buying a collar to add onto the system we bought five years ago. It worked with the system immediately! We also bought a box of the batteries since these collars burn through them so fast! Good luck!

I have three dogs-S,M, and L that are tough on these collars. I've only had to replace ONE in the 13 years I've been using them, and they get A LOT of abuse.
MY only complaints:
*The nylon collars can be brutal on certain dogs' skin - SO I replaced them with leather - problem solved!
* The collar is not so effective on my Lab - I have to keep hers tighter than the others, and on occasion had to clip the hair on her lower neck (GAD she has thick hair!!).
Delivery is always prompt and arrives in great shape.
Customer service has always been OUTSTANDING. These folks always go the extra mile!

My sister and parents have used an electric fence for years and when my daughters 2 toy dogs came home to stay I realized I needed this option myself. Works great, deterrent to the York-Shi that loves to run and has kept my Lab and Shepherd from wandering off to explore. Even the Westie likes it and he needs the room to run and expend energy. Great product. Only one improvement would be a beep at the power pack if a collar has a battery going dead...just a thought.

We used the Radio Fence for about 3 years on our shepherd/husky mix dog and then after another dog started tempting him out of the boundary - he began running through the shock. We bought a new collar, did the retraining, set the shock as high as it would go, shaved a patch on his neck, etc. and it just didn't stop him from running away. We're very sad it stopped working for him b/c up until then we were happy with the results.[...]
