We just moved out to a 2 acre piece of land and did not want to have to fence it, however our 8 yr old Shephard and 5 yr old Lab were both city dogs and used to fences telling them where to be. After doing some research I found this fence and it has been great! Cadence (the shep) caught on right away and needed minimal training. Anna (the lab) needed a little more training and a higher correction level, however they both now know to head back in toward the house when they hear the beep. It's great to not have a fence around the property and even better being secure that the dogs can roam and not have to worry about them. We purchased two in order to have a larger area for them to explore. THe only drawback is the shape of the perimeter, would be easier if it could do straight lines too, but can't have it all! Overall, we are satisfied.

This works great to let a dog have free play of yard and keeps him safe. It probably won't stop a dog with strong prey instinct however. He does respect it and is much cheaper than having to install a fence a round a large area.

It didn't take the 2 weeks it said it would. We started and after 3 days the dog knew were not to go. I'm sure each dog would train differently, take it slow.
