Do you need to keep your pet away from areas in your home? The PetSafe Indoor Radio Fence Transmitter is safe, easy to set up and very effective. Just place the small, disk-shaped transmitter (about the size of a Frisbee) near the area you want to protect. Adjust the range of the Indoor Radio Fence from as little as 2 feet to up to 10 feet. You can use the PetSafe Indoor Fence to keep your pet out of a child's room, away from the kitchen table, off the counter or just about any area you need him to steer clear. When your pet gets near the signal a warning beep sounds on the collar. If he continues to approach the protected area, a mild correction is given. The PetSafe Indoor Radio Fence can be used for as many pets as you have! Each pet needs to wear a collar which can be purchased separately. The PetSafe Indoor Radio Fence Transmitter use the same collar that is used with any PetSafe, Radio Fence or Pet Guardian underground dog fence and the PetSafe Underground Cat Fence...

It worked great - we have a 4 month old Shih tzu puppy and I was a little worried about her receiving the correction, but it only took one time and now when she hears the ringing sound she turns around and goes the other way. It took me a little while to get the range right as we have a large opening between the dining room and living room (where I was keeping her from). But once we got it right it's been great. I recommend this.

Comments about PetSafe PetSafe Indoor Radio Fence Transmitter:

Our male Boston Terrier would attack our old cat viciously, at every opportunity. We had to section off the upstairs for the cat and downstairs for the three dogs (2 Bostons and 1 Schnauzer). The gate on the stairs was a royal pain so we tried this electric fence indoor system as a last resort before considering finding our male Boston a new home.

After testing out the lowest setting with zero effect we kept increasing until we reached level 3. We locked the cat in an upstairs room and removed the gate...he went up the stairs, stopping a moment and looking around when he heard the warning chirping sound. After a moment he continued on up the steps and suddenly he got a shock, let out a high pitch yelp, ran down stairs and hit under the coffee table for a short time. I praised him for reacting the correct way.

That was a week ago. He has not gone up the stairs since. The gate has been down. The cat walks around at the top of the stairs and the Boston only looks at him from the bottom of the stairs...not going up once. SUCCESS!

He never even associated the collar with the shock...and fortunately he has not needed any electrical corrections.

Happy pet mom :)

This is the best thing I could have ever bought, I have 2 dogs one large and one small the large one would lay on the couch when we were not around and being a 160 pound dog she would get them dirty and smelly. One was so bad I had to buy a anew couch for the living room. The small dog would "mark" his territory on the corner of my area rug in front of the couches also when we were not around. so with the purchase of a new couch and 2 new area rugs I was looking for a way to keep them off and away from them. I came across this item and bought one to try in the family room. Works like a charm!!!! I had to buy the stubborn collar for the large dog but they do not even get close to that area and stay on their dog beds now! I never thought I would be able to enjoy another relaxing evening on a clean smelling couch again until I found this! I simply bought another transmitter for the living room and that couch and rug are now safe too! I love the fact I can set different ranges as to how close they can get to the transmitter before it sends them a warning signal.
I would highly recommend this product!!

Comments about PetSafe PetSafe Indoor Radio Fence Transmitter:

We've had this system for quite a few years now and it still works great.

We were absolutely at our wits end with an insanely persistent Bengal cat, who we could not keep off the kitchen counters, stove top, sink, kitchen table, etc., among other undesirable areas of the house. We tried it all to no avail - citrus scented sprays, sticky paper, barriers, nubby plastic strips, etc. I swear he laughed at us while he patted pebbles from the windowsill plant into the sinkerator (yes, it broke the next time we turned it on).

We were literally ready to re-home him when we lucked upon this system (at the time, the cat version didn't exist). What a godsend! It really works, and very quickly too. The only challenge is the circular radius of the transmitter, which forces you to get a little creative with placement. Not a big deal in the long run.

I was somewhat concerned about the shock part, so I tried it on myself first - definitely gets your attention, but won't cause any harm. It is actually pretty humane since it will only need to jolt your pet once or twice before they'll react to just the tone.

It works so great that we later bought the stubborn dog version to prevent our puppy from chewing up some expensive surf boards.

If you're considering buying this system, go ahead and do it. You won't be disappointed.

Comments about PetSafe PetSafe Indoor Radio Fence Transmitter:

I have tried everything for my dogs separation anxiety. I ended up getting three of these and put them in my open floor plan house so that my dog can only be in the front two rooms of the house. She usually scratches at the back door and distress my couches while we are out. We were to the point of looking for someone to adopt her when I decided to buy this product. It was more none the. I would have liked to spend but they are doing the job I needed them for.
We are still working on the anxiety but things are going better in our house.

One big thing I have noticed is that the shock zone gets bigger on it's own and I have to reset them from time to time. Overall I recommend them :)
